Rata Cafe - Wellington

Rata have updated their menu for winter with many vege options. We had Vege Burger and Vege Queensadilla, both were delicious. The new cook seems to understand vegetarian cooking. The café now has a full table service.

My husband and I chose to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Zealandia, where we began our day with a delicious brunch. We were impressed by the exceptional service from the friendly and attentive staff. The food was decent, with portion sizes that were just right. We ordered three main dishes and a dessert, which filled us up but didn't leave us completely satisfied. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

"Pretty decent place. After going on the eco sanctuary walk, we decided to have a meal before heading back. The Zomato rating was low, but I think it was underrated. My experience included a reasonable wait time and good food quality. We ordered streaky bacon, chips, and smoothies, which were all pretty good. The cashier even gave us an estimate of how long our order would take, which was a step up from previous complaints. Overall, a good choice if you're tired from the eco walk."

I was disappointed with the burger that cost between ten and twenty dollars. It was lukewarm and the patty was dry. The restaurant was busy, so I understand they were rushed. The service was decent due to the many staff members working. It may be more enjoyable to visit on a quieter day during the week, when it's not as noisy and you can sit near the windows to enjoy the view of the greenery outside.

I was very pleased with the quick service at this restaurant after exploring New Zealandia with friends on the weekend. The food was good and served promptly, which was much appreciated.
