We requested a vegan version of the chef's tasting menu, and all five courses were absolutely delicious. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into creating these unique and interesting vegan dishes. The staff was also very friendly. While it is on the pricey side at $95 for the tasting menu, I believe it's worth it for the experience. I highly recommend it! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Logan-brown:
The chefs at Logan Brown seem to have changed since previous reviews, as they no longer offer vegan options. It felt like a challenge for them to create a vegan version of the $100 tasting menu, which led us to settle for just one appetizer and one dessert. The appetizer was quite sparse, and the main dish—a bland risotto—was disappointing. If you're looking for quality vegan food, I suggest you save your money and l... View all feedback.
Fine eating for vegan in wellington is difficult. after we had given up several annual days and birthday catastrophes. a vegan friend suggested to bring logan brown to birthday. we contacted them in advance and they sent us a sample menu, on request that looked interesting. on the day we were hit at the door, on our table shown and given our own printed menu, they had even printed a vegan weelist for us that was a bonus no, with confused looks and 'are't all weine vegan to ask? " commented. there was a selection of two curses for entrée, main and desert taste frozen water or obstsalat was not thrown to us as the only desert option for vegans. the meal was delicious and the staff was respectful to us. we had not felt that we were picked up from the cook without hint on vegan kitchen. we were well looked after. the restaurant is located in an old bank building and has a beautiful atmosphere. make sure there is a seawater tank that is built ingeniously into the bar that contains seafood, i.e. sea stars, small crabs, papua etc., but these are not to eat. this is not the kind of restaurant that they would visit every week, unless they had a gold card, but for a special occasion or a celebration where they want a bit of rhyme and spoil, this is worth visiting. we are happy to have found it and will definitely return there.
The $75 three course menu was excellent value for money for gourmet-Master-Chef-quality food. I had the red onion tart, then pork belly main and espresso mousse dessert with broccolini and garlic mushroom sides. We also got 2 pieces of freshly made bread and their 2 options of amazing, creamy, flavoured butter. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were really friendly, professional, neatly dressed and knowledgeable about the food, and the restaurant was bustling with lots of customers. Highly recommended. I'd definitely go back again.
This was an incredible dinner, both in the sense of food and service. They made one small mistake and went completely out of their way to fix it in the kindest way possible. The location is beautiful and there is a nice ambiance. The tasting menu is very well priced, especially considering that you get very good sized portions we both left feeling very full. I can really see why this is an award winning restaurant! (I have just one photo of the dessert, but all of the food was great)
This was my first time experiencing Logan Brown and wow what an experience it was. The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the building itself stunning. Only downside was that the cocktail list was not very exciting. The food however more than made up for that.
So, I wanted to write this review closer to another public holiday, because for sure people will start looking at reviews. If you're in Wellington for Queen's birthday and want to go somewhere special GO TO LOGAN BROWN. From the decor, to the menu, to the service, our experience was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Even though the place was busy, the servers were all friendly and helpful, and one even offered to take a photo of my friend and I, which I really appreciated. The food was also amazing! Their 3 course menu had amazing options and the portions were big enough to be filling and very much worth the price. They were accommodating, professional and so very hospitable. I would definitely go there again. Many thanks to Ajay, who provided us such amazing hospitality that my friend and I couldn't stop talking about our meal at Logan Brown for days on end. You've elevated our experience and made it truly special.
