What Kashp2008 doesn't like about Spring Star:
The restaurant has a new owner who is always on their phone. The food is below average. I inquired if the food is the same as the previous owners and was given a refund. The quality of the food is not the same. The owners are unhelpful and continue to ignore customers while prioritizing phone calls. The chef is not skilled in cooking. The food is so bad that I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. Overall, it was a terrib... View all feedback.

I also have been going here for takeaway for many years. Ok know for a fact it has changed hands over the last couple of years. The old owner retired. The food is still very good. The pancake rolls are awesome. I will say that the portions are smaller now. The rice used to be rammed in the foil trays. Not anymore. The curry is the best for Chinese in town. However it is not very hot anymore. You have to ask for extra hot. Apart from that excellent.
This takeout restaurant, unfortunately no dining in available, is one of the best in town for Chinese food. For instance, if you order the chicken curry, you'll get a generous portion of large chunks of chicken in a thick curry sauce. Other places in town serve small pieces of chicken in a watery sauce with more gristle than meat. Spring Star really makes an effort to ensure their dishes have plenty of meat, with no gristle. They are closed on Tuesdays, but open until 11pm every other day of the week.
