Kimono's - Welland
Kimono's
Description
Visiting the restaurant, some customers were disappointed in the quality of the food and service, feeling that the new owners did not live up to the standards set by the previous management. However, other customers enjoyed the buffet offerings, finding the food tasty and well-priced. They appreciated the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere created by the owners, making it a place they would recommend to others. While there were mixed reviews, overall, the restaurant seemed to have potential for improvement under the new management.

I called to make a reservation for dining in, but they only provided options for takeout or delivery. I ended up placing a takeout order with a very friendly Chinese woman, who I believe might be the owner. The food was ready right on time, served piping hot, and it was absolutely delicious. As a nice surprise, I also received free chicken wings with my large order! This place is truly a hidden gem (Jade). The prices are very reasonable, and there are plenty of great options available. I will definitely be ordering from here again!
I really love the wonton soup here; it’s perfectly portioned and reasonably priced. The beef lo mein is excellent, and the chicken balls are tasty. Their rice is classic and just right. This place is a true gem—definitely the best option in Welland and a top find in the Niagara region!
I ordered Shanghai Noodles, General Tso Chicken, and Kimonos Fried Rice, which were delivered through Skip the Dishes. Everything arrived hot and tasty, and there was more than enough food for several meals.
I don't typically write reviews, but I felt the need to share my experience this time. I ordered food through Uber Eats, and while everything arrived on time, the quality of the food was quite disappointing. I tried the General Tso's chicken, and it was unlike any version I've had before—it tasted as if it had been reheated after being frozen. The chicken wings were dry and not to my liking at all. I also ordered fried shrimp with bell peppers, but there were far too many peppers and very few shrimp, which I didn't appreciate. The fried rice with pork and the spring rolls were the only items I found somewhat acceptable. Unfortunately, since last night, I've been experiencing indigestion due to this food. I wouldn't order from this restaurant again. I'm sorry for the negative feedback, but this was my experience.
