I had one of the breakfast bruschetta dishes. roasted beet root, hazelnuts, red beetle, rocket, feta and hummus on brot. I added falafel and halloumi. the part was therefore enormous and was really delicious. if I were incredibly picky, the falafel could have been less crooked and would have helped a bigger teller than I would have been worried about eating that falls off the side as I ate. I had a filter coffee and apple juice. then I had green tea with a disc lemon and poppy cake. all were delicious. two hearty main dishes, two cakes, a few hot drinks and fruit juice came to £37 and we could lose two hours. I was really happy. the personal could not have been nicer. I would definitely return.
Both human and dog-friendly; large use of painted brot and sourdough for tomato and egg dishes, as well as suppen salate and cake. highly recommended
Pancake with beer-comonate. these 3 generously dimensioned pancakes were perfectly fluffy and a beautiful level of sweet. the berry-comonate was by far the most beautiful thing I ever had. often it is excessively bitter, where this had mixed a nice bitter undertone, but sweet from the fresh berries. stir eggs and avocado on a cough roll. not technically on the takeaway menu, as it means cubes on toast. but offered to put in a sourdough roll and were happy to add the avocado too. the sourdough roll was inside soft with a beautiful knirschen outward, absolutely perfect in my eyes. the touch was soft and fluffy, tasty what they want and fresh avocado. What else could you ask?
My wife and I have just started a two week break in Linlithgow and looking for somewhere to eat and chose this place. Had two artisan sandwiches, ham and cheese, black coffee and a pot of tea. The teapot had a sieve inside for tealeaves, which made it hard work for the teabag to brew, so after removing the sieve and stirring the teabag did help, but I have had stronger English Breakfast tea. Clean place though.
Had lunch here today excellent cafe with great choice of food and friendly staff would have given 5 stars but the seating area not that big
