The room was great, clean and the bed was comfortable, and there was a great view! Breakfast was very good too! We appreciate our stay at Rigi very very much and definitely recommend it!

The hotel is conveniently located if you are interested in a hike to Rigi Kulm or the famous Felsenweg. The view from guest rooms is simply stunning waking up with majestic mountains in your window is really quite an experience. Besides the view, the service was also very welcoming and warm. What’s unique about the hotel is their mini concert after dinner local young musicians help out at the hotel and in doing so are able to have a place to practice their craft and support themselves. We really liked the concept, especially during a time when live performances have been very much impacted by Covid19. Their music was very touching and well complemented the delicious dinner featuring seasonal game. Will definitely consider coming back!

The up is worth it for the lovely evening views over the Luzerne lake below and the mountains beyond including Pilatus, if it 's a hot summer you usually get a lightning show to watch over the high glaciers.Menu focuses on small a la carte selection and tasting style menu.Wine choice is good, cheese board is exceptional and worth holding back some space for even if to have them bring out the huge board.Do book in advance, do not expect to eat late.If you want a table against the balcony with the best view, ask nicely in advance.Service very good and friendly, we couldn 't fault it.Be prepared to engage with some Swiss-German translation, there is no tourist menu in English or Chinese here :)If the weather is not so good, the interior is traditional wood panelling and large wooden dressers everywhere.Happy eating and look forwards to returning.
