This absolute gem in the charming village of Wedmore is definitely worth a visit. As you drive through the vaulted entrance into a serene and tranquil environment, you're greeted by a lovely dog named Rembert (if I remember correctly), which sets the perfect tone for your experience. The sound of the locals joyfully singing the praises of the owner, Major Stevens, in the lower bar adds to the ambiance, as you enjoy pints of ale served straight from Adrian's barrel – a unique touch that makes this place stand out. I can’t comment on the food just yet, as it seems there may have been a new chef in the kitchen recently. However, I plan to return soon on my trusty steed (although it’s actually my German car)!
This charming countryside pub offers delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. It's also an excellent spot to unwind with a drink after work. I highly recommend it!
The George is a fantastic pub that offers excellent food and drinks for many locals and clubs. I highly recommend it for an evening meal or a lunch snack. They also have lovely hotel rooms. It’s a shame that some people have left negative reviews; I hope others will see that it’s truly a great place to visit!
