Delicious food, more than fair prices and huge portions. Will definitely be back! Beef bulgogi was cooked to perfection, reminded me of my mom's homecooked recipe.

We tried Joon’s Kitchen for the first time today. I watch Korean dramas and have always wanted to try authentic Korean restaurants. I am always awed by how warm, welcoming and clean they are. I always order Kimchi fried rice when I go to Korean restaurants and experiment with other additional dishes I get. The food was good today. Like they claim it, it was fresh, home made and truly, could not taste msg at all. My four stars are for the food being made so thoughtfully and being able to deliver what you claim. Kudos to that. However, like many reviews have mentioned, the customer service could have been better. Koreans are warm and welcoming people but we did not feel that way today. You cannot expect a first time customer to know everything about your restaurant. While you have many signs which explains a lot about your place, we would love to hear from you, especially when you aren’t busy attending anyone else. We actually wanted to dine in, but while ordering the cashier informed us that the food comes in to-go containers regardless. So, we ended up doing a carry- out. Please don’t get me wrong and I hope you do not come back at me for this(I have read reviews and replies to the reviews), but if customers have been showing concerns about poor customer service, I think it should be addressed. I understand it is a family restaurant and family members take their precious time out of the day to help you out. However, I would hate to see a restaurant that serves excellent and fresh food lose customers due to poor service. You don’t have to do much, just greet us and guide us through the process and how it works, we will understand. I am one of those people who would quietly eat my food even if I was served a wrong dish. So, please take this as my genuine concern.Other than that, I loved how clean the place was and how delicious and fresh the food was.Thank you

I ordered food to go through DoorDash, but the order arrived spilled all over the bag and ruined. When I told the Dasher, he advised me to call the restaurant. I did, but the restaurant told me to contact DoorDash instead. The person on the phone kept talking over me and said, “We’ve never had anyone complain about this before,” as if that means it couldn’t happen. I got frustrated and raised my voice, and then she hung up on me. 0 out of 5 stars. To add: your employee kept interrupting me even before I raised my voice, dismissing everything I said and insisting nothing like this could happen because no one has ever complained before. It was ridiculous—refusing to admit fault and continually interrupting just to repeat the same thing is very frustrating. I didn’t tell her to “shut your mouth,” I asked her to stop talking and repeating herself. I have the call recorded if you want to hear it. Please improve your packaging for saucy dishes—something sealed would help. My daughter enjoyed the flavor but was disappointed by the lack of sauce. I apologize for raising my voice, but please train your employees to handle complaints more constructively and consider better packaging options. Wishing you a great week!

I've tasted bibimbap at many places, including in China, but Joon’s Kitchen truly surpassed all my expectations. The portion was generous, and I loved that I could enjoy the leftovers the next day. I simply reheated the beef, mushrooms, and rice, then piled on a heap of crispy vegetables before drizzling the red sauce and mixing everything together in a large bowl. The blend of flavors from the beef and vegetables was incredible! I really hope Joon’s keeps up this high quality and doesn't cut corners to save costs. If there's one minor drawback, it's that dine-in meals are served in takeout containers, which they clearly mention. But if that’s the only thing holding you back, you’d be missing out on some truly fantastic food!

Excellent food with generous portions. Fast service in a clean, modern setting. Perfect spot for a quick lunch.

Set in a relaxed, coffee‑shop–style space in Clear Lake, Joon’s Kitchen serves fresh, homemade Korean comfort food—bulgogi, cutlets, bibimbap and tteok‑bokki—with generous portions, fair prices and no MSG. The flavors feel authentic and homestyle, though the kimchi is less fermented. The counter, takeout‑focused operation and third‑party delivery make it ideal for quick meals and families on the go; packaging for saucy dishes and occasional inconsistent customer service and delivery handling are areas needing improvement.

Joons is pretty good. Me and my friend had the catsu chicken, with egg fried rice. Although I'm not a fan of the kimichi since its homemade and didn't have that fermented taste, the cucumbers were really good though.

Very laid back restaurant similar to a Coffee shop in design style. The food is served in to go containers it's good if you are on a tight schedule but if you're looking for a dine-in experience you might not like that. I ordered the chicken cutlet andit's really tasty and you get a nice serving of white rice. however, kimchi is not fermented but you can tell its homemade.

I was genuinely surprised to see so many positive reviews from Koreans. Maybe the restaurant was better before COVID? The food didn't seem as appealing as I had anticipated. To be honest, I would have preferred to make bibimbap myself.

The food at Joon's was exceptionally fresh and tasty. They steer clear of MSG, which gives their dishes a distinct flavor that sets them apart from many other restaurants nowadays. If you find yourself in Clear Lake, it's a must-visit. Truly delightful!

I grew up near North Korea, which has given me a special appreciation for kimchi, and the kimchi here really reminded me of my hometown. While it wasn't overly sour, I felt it could have benefited from a little less salt. The rice was delicious, cooked perfectly with just the right amount of water—something that isn't always easy to find in other places. I also appreciated their commitment to homemade food without MSG. It felt very much like a family-run business; I noticed two young women in scrubs who I assume are family members working in healthcare. The portion sizes were generous; our group of five ordered one appetizer and five main courses to share, and we still had about one dish left over. However, I did observe that their service might need some improvement; I saw a couple with a baby who left without being greeted after glancing at the menu. If you're interested, you can dine in and take your leftovers home in foam boxes. By the way, about a third of South Koreans are Christians, and three-quarters of Korean Americans share that faith. My mechanic, Ki, is one of them, and I trust him completely.
