Earlier today, my husband and I stoppe... read more I usually enjoy Firehouse Subs, but my recent experience at this location was so unpleasant that I will not be returning. Earlier today, my husband and I stopped by after a long day of classes. The woman at the counter was polite when taking his order, but when I mentioned that I only wanted a small sandwich, she repeatedly asked if I understood the size and insisted on confirming it. To emphasize her point, she even held up the bread for me to see. I was fully aware of what I was ordering, and even if I hadn’t been, her approach felt condescending. What she didn’t know is that I’ve been on strong medication for a recent chronic illness diagnosis, which has severely affected my appetite. That small sandwich is all I can manage to eat at each meal. I didn’t feel comfortable explaining this to her in the middle of the restaurant, nor should I have to. It was embarrassing to have to keep asserting that I understood what a small sandwich was. This experience was very insensitive, and I think the staff needs training on how to communicate better with customers about their orders. I won’t be returning to this location anytime soon.

I've tried giving it three chances... read more I'm a loyal Firehouse fan and have visited plenty of their locations, but this one has the worst sandwiches I've encountered. I've tried giving it three chances since I moved nearby, and each time I've been let down. They just can't seem to get it right. The quality of the sandwiches is lacking; they don't taste nearly as good as they should. The bread is tough, and the sandwiches are cold when they should be hot. Additionally, the customer service doesn't meet the standards I've experienced at other locations.

I placed an order for myself and my family, but my husband didn’t receive what he wanted because they were out of certain items. They also ran out of large drinks, so we had to settle for small ones. I ordered sugar cookies, but they only had chocolate chip available. The restaurant was clean but clearly understaffed. Despite ordering online, there were seven people waiting in line. The staff member who assisted me communicated well, and I don’t blame her for the shortages or delays. The company should hire more employees and update their online menu to reflect unavailable items. I’ve visited before without these issues, so I hope they improve. I would still recommend Firehouse Subs Webster for lunch, but suggest dining in rather than ordering online so you know exactly what you’re getting. I wasn’t refunded, just given alternative options. It’s a fun spot to bring kids because of the firehouse-themed decor and inviting atmosphere.

Meanwhile, an employee from the back was tossing bubbles into the air and playing with them while another staff member prepared my sandwich.
