What Matt Ruffell doesn't like about Barry's Old School Irish:
Old school Irish pub. The background Irish music is very corny and outdated. I understand it's for ambiance but I doubt any young Irish people really listen to it these days. Beware it's very loud inside. The food and drinks have improved a lot. The Reuben was fantastic. Everyone seems to have a good time and the bar is known for friendliness. View all feedback.
I'm really sad to see this place closed. I only visited once during a road trip, but it truly stood out as one of the friendliest pubs I've ever been to. Outside of the UK and Ireland, it's hard to find places that capture the same local pub atmosphere as this one. I hope the family opens another someday.
Unfortunately, they permanently closed their doors yesterday. It was a fantastic bar with amazing food and wonderful friends. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5. Recommended dishes include the Fish and Chips and a Pint of Beer.
Absolutely the best Irish pub you’ll ever find! It’s a warm, family-owned place that feels just like an Irish version of Cheers. Food: 5 stars. Service: 5 stars. Atmosphere: 5 stars. I highly recommend the pint of beer, Reuben sandwich, and hand-cut fries!
