In 2020, I was working on our family property up in the mountains, preparing it for camping after it had been untouched for 30 years. After a few days of eating camp food and living in the wilderness, I craved a proper meal at a real table. So, I drove down to Weaverville in search of a restaurant. To my dismay, the town felt like a ghost town; everything was shut down due to COVID, which was very frustrating. Finally, I pulled into Tangle Blue at the east end of town—the only place that was open. A friendly staff member welcomed me and explained that the kitchen had closed for the evening. She asked where I was from and what brought me to the area. When I mentioned my work on the property in the woods, she kindly offered to head back into the kitchen and prepare something for me herself. She ended up making me the best buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had. Fast forward to today, I ordered the same dish again, and it was just as perfect! I truly love these small towns, the welcoming people, and the overall atmosphere. This bar and grill has a super friendly vibe, with great staff and a positive ambiance. The food is simply amazing. I might just have to try their pizza someday! Don't hesitate to support this business—you will enjoy both the atmosphere and the food!
Plenty of parking. Enjoy good food and great service. And entertain a game of pool.
Down to earth, good food, nice people. Bar inside with a beautiful outside (covered area with fountain and landscaped) sitting area. We were glad to find this place
Cah only, but well worth it. Hoked to the real Tangle Blue lake and then had lunch at the Tangle Blue the next day. It was a great trip!
Beware!!! If you are hungry as a bear you should keep on driving ok people don't get me wrong the food tastes good and looks nice and it's probably healthier than most other pizzas but it's like eating air and I'm not even playing they only have 1 size SMALL VERY SMALL I got 3 and I felt like maybe I ate a cruton. And the price is as much as any other pizza but you're left hungry unsatisfied and broke.
