Pizza Express - Wealden

Perfectly clean, perfectly pleasant staff and a very nice meal! comfortable and will definitely visit again!

It is always nice to eat at pizza express. the staff was really friendly here, eating was delicious as all the two, and we had a great time here.

We took our young grandchildren out for tea. We sat in the garden and the tasty food was served quickly. One of the children dropped pieces of his food on the floor, and the waitress was kind and patient and cleared it up without any...fuss.

We have been regular customers in this restaurant for many years as we combine it with a cinema visit, most days off. we have always found the personal, very friendly, friendly and efficient, and the pizzas, delicious. but we visited ours last night. first “pizza and a film” journey since the beginning of the pandemic and what a difference! the restaurant was not busy and most employees hang around the kitchen area, laugh and joking. Finally our waitress, emily came to order our drinks no smile or eye contact at all. she returned with our bottle of wine and two glasses and gave them to the table and left! we have no objection to opening our own wein, but beforehand, workers have always opened the bottle and asked if we want to taste it! then we waited a few minutes before another employee picked up our order. the pizzas arrived immediately and were as usual delicious, so we had no complaining about eating at all. we looked at ourselves as the “Staff Party” to keep the kitchen area and emily put a spoon in a container, put it in the mouth and then with the spoon still in the mouth, came into the restaurant to clear a table! hardly a professional look. when we left the restaurant, all the workers gathered around the area, continued their party antiquities so that no one has ever recognized our departure. this is such a disappointment, because the personal, pre-pandemic, we are all so beautiful, but sad, the current cohort seems to have more on a good night itself, rather than focusing on paying customers. we do not want to return.

Waited minutes for the starter, waited another for the net. the employees look busy, but the service is bad compared to other pizza expresses throughout the country. they didn't clear the starter before the main thing came in minutes). the manager saw more interest in her. phone than the restaurant running. the employees see under trained and unhappy to be there. What about a smile? I couldn't believe it was a pizza express. would not go back to this special restaurant. many better places in uckfield!
