The food used to be really good maybe 10 years ago. Not so much any more. Last time my family ate here my daughter ordered something and did not like it the waitress through a fit about taking it off the bill and said she was told by the owner she’s not allowed to she literally had to call the owner and get permission to. That was in 2021 we havent been back since. My husband went to go eat here this year with his si... View all feedback.
I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous. In hindsight, my partner and I should have shared their meal, as it was more than enough for two. After visiting another local diner in a different area of Virginia, I can confidently say that this place is far superior in terms of ambiance, service, and food quality. I’ll definitely be returning!
Delicious food, friendly staff, and higher prices. I've visited multiple times, and the experience has always been positive.
It's a cozy little restaurant, and although a large group was waiting to be seated, my husband and I were seated right away. This locally owned and operated gem offers homemade dishes, including salads, sides, and pie! We arrived right at the peak of lunch hour. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with lettuce and tomato, accompanied by a side of macaroni salad, while my husband enjoyed a mushroom burger. Each sandwich comes with a small bag of chips made in Staunton. We shared a slice of coconut cream pie for dessert. Although they were out of several side dishes, the staff explained that they make everything fresh to minimize food waste, especially with rising prices. Remarkably, they haven't increased their menu prices! Our total bill was $30, which included a generous tip. The staff works diligently as a team to ensure everyone is taken care of in a timely manner. Since we discovered this place a year ago through Tripadvisor, we always stop by when traveling along the 64 corridor near Waynesboro. We definitely plan to return on our next adventure west!
What a great spot to find on our weekend getaway. The service was great. Everyone was super friendly. Our food was prepared quickly and the pancakes were so fluffy. I had the pancake breakfast and my husband enjoyed the breakfast scrambler. I usually take photos, but was so hungry we started eating right away. Highly recommend.
What a wonderful find! The Spanish omelette was the best I have ever eaten! Food was top notch, service was great and the atmosphere perfect small town! This will be our go to place on our trips to see our grandkids play ball!!
