Willowbrook - Wayne
Willowbrook
Description
Perched at a major highway junction with strong transit links, this long-standing regional mall offers over 150 shops, a varied food court and family-focused features like kids’ play areas. New dining options and a compact, convenient layout earn steady praise from local and out-of-town shoppers.
Visitors also note a decline in upkeep: littered entrances, vacant storefronts, a carnival-like vendor scene and occasional crowding or disorganization. The result is a useful, family-friendly destination with mixed maintenance and tenant stability.

Willowbrook Mall is one shopping mall that has literally something for everyone. With over 150 stores spread over one and a partial floors, it has stores on the high end, and popular specialty stores that appeal to all ages, adults, teens, and children. They also have a top notch food court as well, featuring such always popular chains as Wendy's, Popeyes, Sarku Japan, China Wok, Charley's Cheese steaks, Nathan's, Taco Bell, and Cinnabon. Add to the convenience of 13 bus routes going in, and its' location at the confluence of three major highways, 23, 46, and 80, and you have one major setup.
Much smaller than I expected but makes up for it with the amount of child play areas, definitely the better choice for families than nearly every other nearby mall.
This was a better Mall for us in New Jersey and lots of stores to browse around. They have food court to eat lunch. I will go back their again in the future. This is very satisfying place.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a pleasant experience in a declining mall with many vacant storefronts. Today's malls often resemble more of a carnival atmosphere, with vendors selling their wares from traditional pushcarts and kiosks. They seem to primarily cater to teenagers, and the selection of shops leaves much to be desired. While this is a downside, it's still a local destination, and with anchor stores like Macy's and Bloomingdale's, it remains a worthwhile stop. Retail has certainly evolved, but supporting local businesses is essential for the health of the community.
