Willowbrook - Wayne
Willowbrook
Description
Perched at a major highway junction with strong transit links, this long-standing regional mall offers over 150 shops, a varied food court and family-focused features like kids’ play areas. New dining options and a compact, convenient layout earn steady praise from local and out-of-town shoppers.
Visitors also note a decline in upkeep: littered entrances, vacant storefronts, a carnival-like vendor scene and occasional crowding or disorganization. The result is a useful, family-friendly destination with mixed maintenance and tenant stability.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a pleasant experience in a declining mall with many vacant storefronts. Today's malls often resemble more of a carnival atmosphere, with vendors selling their wares from traditional pushcarts and kiosks. They seem to primarily cater to teenagers, and the selection of shops leaves much to be desired. While this is a downside, it's still a local destination, and with anchor stores like Macy's and Bloomingdale's, it remains a worthwhile stop. Retail has certainly evolved, but supporting local businesses is essential for the health of the community.
This is the best mall in North Jersey—better than Garden State and American Dream! Sure, it's smaller, but who wants to trek 200 miles just to reach the stores? It’s super convenient and has everything you need. The new Cuban Pete's in the mall is absolutely fantastic. The food I tried was delicious, and I'm really excited about this addition!
I'm from Ohio, where malls are small, so I was really impressed by this mall. There were plenty of food options and a wide variety of stores. Zara was a bit disorganized and had a long line, but overall, it was a great experience.
Excellent spot with a variety of stores and reasonable prices. It's a lovely place to take the family and spend a few enjoyable hours away from home.
