Spring Mill Bread Co.
Description
Spring Mill Bread Company serves a warm, community-focused bakery experience with friendly staff, free samples, and a wide roster from scones and chocolate-chip loaves to savory leek-and-Parmesan croissants. Regulars praise fresh, flavorful breads—Peasant white, Asiago, cinnamon swirl and monkey bread—while occasional inconsistency has left some items dry or stale. Prices are reasonable and it’s ideal for locals, commuters and grab‑and‑go lunches, though parking can be tight and turnover suggests variable service behind the scenes.

I used to really enjoy the monkey bread, so I was looking forward to stopping by yesterday while I was in town. Unfortunately, the monkey bread I received was stale and dry. It was a real letdown and a waste of money!
I purchased the French toast loaf, and it was disappointing. After a few bites, I ended up tossing it out. I also offered some to my husband and a friend, and they had similar reactions. It was sour, dry, hard, and unappetizing. In the end, I discarded the rest of the $11 loaf.
The scones had a nice flavor, but they were a bit too fluffy; a scone should be denser, and they could be smaller as well. Still, they were tasty. The grilled cheese breads, which came in a pack of six, were fabulous—soft, cheesy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! However, the monkey bread I took home for my family in New York was disappointing. It was stale! I had to really force the knife through it to cut it. Monkey bread should be gooey and pillowy, but this was neither. I wasn't pleased to have been sold old baked goods.
These guys produce some of the better baked products I've ever had in my life. The Monkey Bread was out of this world. Made my day.
