Panera Bread - Wayne
Panera Bread
Description
Mall-adjacent Panera delights with standout coffee, fresh baked goods and a broad menu of soups, sandwiches and flatbreads. Efficient kiosks, a popular beverage subscription and attentive order-checking often speed service, making it a reliable lunch and coffee stop. Busy periods show the restaurant’s downside: occasional missing or incorrect items, uneven portioning and cleanliness, and inconsistently courteous staff. The lively atmosphere suits shoppers and quick-meal seekers, though occasional panhandling near the entrance can leave some patrons uneasy.

I can’t deny that I absolutely love visiting this place. The service is fast, and the kiosks make ordering so easy! The food is a solid 10/10, and the bread is simply amazing! (I highly recommend the GREEN TEA.) I will definitely be returning… although I do notice that a homeless man often asks me for money when I’m there. I try to help, but it does leave me feeling a bit uneasy afterwards. Still, I don’t regret it; the mac and cheese bread bowl is a unique delight every single time!
So we went here for lunch today. It’s amazing that I am still hungry after I spent $30 for two lunches. The veg soup was actually pretty good. I also had 1/2 caprese sandwich (one of the few vegetarian options) she had some chicken soup and sandwich which she enjoyed. We waited a good 5 min and our order was brought to our table. We ate our lunch and enjoyed our conversation.
One of the better run Panera in my opinion and I go to a lot of Panera throughout the state. The manager is really managing this place well. He also reads the order to you before he serves it. He reads it really fast and he is quite serious about making sure your order is correct. The coffee here is always hot and I never had to complain about it.
The restaurant was somewhat untidy. Taking the time to clean the tables would significantly improve the experience. The bread bowls were rather small, and the soup was only filled halfway. We also ordered grilled cheese, which ended up overcooked. Overall, I was quite disappointed with this visit!
I ordered food through Uber Eats, but some items were missing. I contacted the Wayne location to speak with the manager, Francisco, hoping for assistance. I had my food in front of me but no utensils, which I had specifically requested, along with my side dish. This was at 4:20 PM, and Francisco told me to call back after 8 PM. I found him to be an ineffective leader with subpar customer service skills. I hope he faces consequences for this. Ordering food can be costly, and I expected to be acknowledged and helped.
