First time here. We were a group of ladies out to have brunch and arrived and were told it would be a wait of about 15-20 minutes. We thought it was not too long to wait so we stayed. An hour later we're tired of waiting and starving. The lady swears it's almost our turn to sit so we waited a bit more. We finally sit down and the sweetest bus boy took our drink orders and made us feel at home. The waitress took our order and there were biscuits, butter and jam brought out right away to the table. They were tasty but very dry. While waiting the bus boy came back and offered us some mimosas, on the house! I assume due to our long wait we had to endure. They were delicious and just what we needed! The food came out hot. The chicken fried steak was huge with a very thick piece of meat. Excellent choice. The grits were not tasty at all. They tasted like plastic. I'm a big grits eater and this was very disappointing. The Avocado Toast was not as tasty as I thought it would be. The Avocado spread was too tangy for my taste. I recommend they slice the Avocado fresh onto the toast with a dash of salt and pepper on it instead of mixing it up with whatever they used. I really liked the pancakes. Fluffy and moist! Overall not too bad of an experience. If you go on a Sunday, give yourself plenty of time to wait. The staff is friendly and made up for the long unexpected wait. It was hit and miss with the food. Not sure if I would come back due to the long wait and the food not as good as expected. But it wasn't horrible, just to be clear.
I came in today just randomly checking out brunch spots. Everything I ordered was DELICIOUS. The cappuccino was yummy. The service is fast and the place makes you feel like you?re home. I ordered the French toast, scrambled eggs, and turkey sausage. I usually don?t finish all my food but I ate every last bit I had to take a nap in the car before pulling off ???????????????????
We went there for breakfast. Great decision! The staff was very cordial and friendly. They worked together seamlessly. That was a great start. It's actually a nice looking place as well. Then we get to the food. Ample portions of tasty vittles! I'd like to mention our server in particular. Lynsey was awesome! We had drinks promptly that never got low, very attentive service, and a friendly word when we paid and left. We will definitely be back. It's on the dining out breakfast rotation for sure!
Quality you can trust. Always friendly wait-staff. What's special about this place, is the people and the smiles. The food is always good. One of the best places to eat breakfast in Waxahachie.
