The Grumpy Baker - WAVERTON

We were walking along and found the bakery, and gave it a try. The sausage roll was delicious, huge and fresh. The bacon and egg rolls were cooked as ordered and delicious. Spoke to staff and they've had some chef changes but the current one is perfect. Looking forward to a revisit soon.

I live local and needed some nice fresh bread for a party I was throwing. I hadn't been in the "bakery" before but knew it was there. I decided to buy the bread a few hours before the party was due to start so it would be really fresh. To my dismay I discovered this bakery does not sell bread!!Waverton has very few shops and unfortunately I was unable to get fresh bread anywhere else. Very disappointing.

The food is quite basic and the Asian owners always seem to live up to the cafes name (grumpy). Coffee is okay

Below average. Poor food preparation and hygiene. Witness a staff member preparing food. She dropped Turkish bread on the flood, picked it up. Instead of throwing in the bin, she still used it to prepare a persons sandwich.

Good take away coffee, fast service and nice smiles from staff. Big servings on the food. Decor is awful inside. Outdoor area has heavy foot traffic and is very small.
