Subway - Waverly
Subway
Description
Dining at a local Subway has become an increasingly frustrating experience, as evidenced by a series of disappointing encounters. Customers reported significant issues with online orders, including incorrect sandwiches and delays that left patrons waiting outside for extended periods. The staff's lack of responsiveness and professionalism only compounded the dissatisfaction, leading many to suggest that other establishments, like Jimmy John's in Waverly, exemplify the level of service that Subway could aspire to achieve. As quality and customer care seem to decline, it raises questions about the future of this once-favorite sandwich shop.

My family placed an online order at 7:50 PM, and it was supposed to be ready by 8:10 PM. However, my fiancé ended up waiting outside the door for 20 minutes. Although the staff saw him several times, they refused to let him in to pick up our order. When I called to let them know he was waiting outside, they acted like they didn’t know what was going on. The staff were immature and couldn’t handle an upset customer (with good reason) without abruptly hanging up on me. I was very disappointed with the young employees working there.
We recently had a very unpleasant experience at a poorly managed Subway location. Fortunately, Jimmy John's in Waverly came to the rescue with outstanding service. They were attentive and efficient while taking our order, and it made us think that Subway could definitely learn a thing or two from them!
We regrettably chose to order through the app, which was our first mistake. It's much better to place your order in person so you can oversee the sandwich-making process. Unfortunately, our order was completely mishandled. My sandwich was meant to have chipotle sauce, but instead, it came with sweet onion and very few vegetables. My wife's order was supposed to include extra veggies, but it had hardly any, and the meat was almost unnoticeable. They also added several vegetables to my son's sandwich that he hadn't requested, and his sandwich was supposed to come with honey mustard, but instead, it was slathered with chipotle, making it soggy by the time we arrived home. Overall, we were quite disappointed with the quality of our sandwiches. It seems that Subway has really declined in quality.
We ordered through the app, which turned out to be our first mistake. It's better to place our order in person so that the staff can properly monitor the sandwich-making process. Unfortunately, they completely messed up our order. My sandwich was overloaded with chipotle sauce, but it tasted excessively sweet and barely had any other flavor. My wife's sandwich was supposed to be extra sweet, but it hardly had any sweetness at all, and she couldn't even taste the meat. They also added numerous sweet ingredients to my son's sandwich, which he didn't want. It was supposed to have honey but ended up with copious amounts of chipotle instead. By the time we drove the three miles home, it had turned into a soggy mess that had to be eaten with a fork. Overall, the experience was quite disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend this location.
I was very disappointed because I ordered 1 footlong meal and didn't get the 2 cookies I ordered. My husband and I tried the new melts and they were not good. They tasted like burnt paper and had 4 times the MEAT a normal foot long has instead of 4 times the cheese the melts are supposed to come with. I even tipped them before hand because I saw their sign saying they are short staffed.
