Contribute FeedbackThe Alma has had a mix of reviews since its original 5-star rating. The food quality has declined, with several customers expressing disappointment and receiving subpar dishes, including raw prawns and steaks. While the atmosphere is praised, the owners' demeanor has led to mixed experiences, with some feeling unwelcome. However, others have highlighted exceptional experiences, praising the gluten-free options, Sunday roasts, and warm reception from staff. The pub's transformation under new landlords has been positively received, making it a recommended spot for a relaxing drink or a delicious meal.
Went and spent the afternoon with my mother and sister had a nice time so inviting and good children area for my son.
Renters and renters are so friendly and welcoming. large space
Excellent food and atmosphere friendly helpful staff and a cosy log fire. Recommend the Sunday roast. Excellent garden as well
Arrived at this place, and the personal owners, management e t c, are extremely helpful, welcome us to do the service, they are absolutely staring at there. there was a small meeting the time I arrived, each smartly dressed, and there are us in my work overall, felt a bit about dressed, but I finally worked at the website..
Wow what a find!! We were visiting the area and found this gem of a place! Lovely people, great service, very accommodating for my family including our dog (dogs allowed in bar but not restaurant). We have been out for many Sunday roast dinners, but this was one of the best we’ve had! Beautiful food, proper roasties, I had a mix of all meats on offer. It came with lovely swede and carrots, cauliflower cheese, parsnips, and lots of other veg, a big jug of gravy, all the condiments, it really was very good! Highly recommended 5*!! Sorry no pics, the food was just too tasty!!
