Three of us had a delicious meal yesterday at lunchtime. The jacket potatoes were perfectly cooked, fluffy on the inside and with edible skins. The staff was attentive and efficient, even though the restaurant was busy. We will definitely be returning for the fish and chips. View all feedback.
What bossyteacher doesn't like about Frensham:
Very poor service. We visit quite often and today was dreadful. They need new staff. The you g girl who served us eventually was called Lily and she was lovely. Polite and smiley. Older lady was very rude and dismissive when informing us they shut in 15 minutes. Absolutely understand they have a closing time but maybe tell customers when they order. Scone was large, warm and tasty. Breakfast tea was a bit odd tasting... View all feedback.
We often go to Squires in Frensham for a mooch and a spot of lunch as it’s on our doorstep and it’s run by a very friendly and helpful team. Today was no exception, we had a super lunch and our dogs miniature daschund and Labrador’s were beautifully looked after by the team there which was totally wonderful. Thank you to everyone at Squires Frensham today, we had a ball and will be back. Luna, Tiggy, Scrumpy and Apollo loved their time with you.

We decided to dine at this restaurant because their website indicated that well-behaved dogs are permitted in the garden center, but not inside the Cafe Bar. However, dogs are allowed in the outdoor seating area of the Cafe Bar. Upon arrival, we found a dog near our table inside the crowded cafe, which caused some anxiety as not everyone can be near dogs for various reasons. Despite this, we decided to stay as it would have been too inconvenient to find another place to eat at that time. Unfortunately, we received the wrong order and our drinks were forgotten. When we pointed out the mistake, the staff blamed us for the error even though it was clearly their mistake. The food was returned and we had to wait longer for the correct order. During this time, another dog entered the cafe and began barking, which was not what we expected when looking for a relaxing lunch in a dog-free environment. Additionally, we observed a staff member petting a dog with their gloves on, causing fur to fly in the air, which is not hygienic around food or good for those with pet allergies. We will not be returning to this restaurant and suggest that the owners properly train their staff and clarify their dog policy on their website.
So nice to be able to get homemade gluten free cake a decent cuppa as its not always the case elsewhere. Staff always friendly helpful.
