Eastern Suburbs Legion Club - Waverley

The bistro in the Eastern Suburbs Legion Club is a great place for a simple but tasty meal. The staff are friendly and everything is really good value for money.A highlight of our dinner was the Eye Fillet Steak with Brandy Pepper Sauce. I had it served very rare and it was perfect.

Great venue. Very good drink prices and good value on food.

What a fantastic place! The atmosphere in the rafter room was buzzing with energy. It's a large venue with plenty of hearty eaters, and the staff truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone is well taken care of. The highlight of the night was the performance by three musicians: Trevor, Martin, and two brothers. The older brother played the most incredible tunes, while the younger brother was an impressive guitarist. People were dancing all night long! My only minor complaint is that the space is a bit small, but the talent of the musicians makes it worth it. I’d give this place a solid 5 out of 5 stars!

This is a wonderful, friendly little club with a fantastic team. I've been coming here for years, as one of my friends lives nearby. The food is simple but delicious, and it's nice to have home-cooked options. When the band plays, the atmosphere transforms into a vibrant place where everyone can dance and have a great time. Don't underestimate the sense of community in this small club. It could use a bit of modernization, but honestly, a touch of old-school charm can be refreshing too. Highly recommend!
