Menu

Here you will find the menu of Fancy That in Waveney. At the moment, there are 3 meals and drinks on the menu.

Nestled in the heart of Wrentham, this quaint chip shop offers a nostalgic taste of traditional fish and chips, albeit with some inconsistencies. While many diners appreciate the convenience for a quick snack, experiences vary widely. Some find the chips a bit greasy and the batter on the fish too oily, though the flavors are often praised. The shop’s unpredictable hours and cash-only policy can be inconvenient, but for those craving a simple meal, it remains a viable option worth a second glance. Future visits may yield better results, especially for the recommended cod.

What AlanP905 dislikes about Fancy That:
After giving it another chance, we decided to visit this small, local chip shop. Despite not being the best chips I've ever had - a bit greasy for my taste - it is a convenient option for a quick bite. When you're craving a simple bag of chips, sometimes this place is the only place that will satisfy that craving. View all feedback.

My first visit to Fancy That was last Friday evening, where I enjoyed two delicious orders of chips. The quaint chip shop has unpredictable opening hours, but I would definitely come back when I'm in Wrentham again. I plan on trying the cod on my next visit.

During our visit to the village, we chose to try the fish and chips at this restaurant. It took a while for our food to be ready, and we had to hurriedly find cash because the restaurant only accepted cash payments. The fish was alright, with flavorful meat, but the batter was a little oily and thick. The chips were also slightly greasy and not cooked through compared to other restaurants, but they still had good flavor, although not the best we've ever had.

He said to give it another try and we did, a very small, very local place that probably doesn't get much business and the guy cooking the fries gives it some charm. Not the best fries I've ever had, a little too greasy, but it's local, it's convenient, and when you want a bag of fries, nothing else will do.

We had our first taste of luxury on Friday evening and, while only 2 bags of chips to eat now, I must say very tasty and just what the doctor ordered. It's a small and basic looking Chippie that seems to open when culinary cravings strike and has often been closed when we've been in Wrentham. I would come back again when the craving hits and give the cod a chance.
