Pho 76 - Wausau
Pho 76
Description
Hidden among Wisconsin storefronts, this no-frills pho spot draws praise for enormous portions, low prices and comforting bowls—especially seafood pho—making it a popular cold-weather and lunch destination. Favorites include crisp spring rolls and tofu bowls, with quick, polite service at times. However, experiences vary: some diners report bland or overly salty dishes, loosely wrapped rolls, missing orders and slow or inattentive staff. Expect great value and bold portions but occasional inconsistency in seasoning, service and vegetable/sauce offerings.

I had dinner with my son, and it was a fantastic evening. The food was excellent! We had to wait a bit for the egg rolls, but they were definitely worth it.
Absolutely fantastic! The large portion is enormous, and the extra-large must be the size of a 5-gallon bucket. The flavor is outstanding. The menu items are quite unconventional, and the beef tends to be a bit tough. I recommend sticking with the seafood pho.
The pho was excellent. I ordered the chicken curry soup, which was good but not outstanding; the curry flavor could have been stronger. However, the pork egg rolls were delicious. The service was quick and attentive.
I've only tried pho from a couple other establishments. I'd say this was my favorite. I could drink a gallon of that broth. I was disappointed there wasn't a satay option, but the pho is worth the stop. I order the eye of round steak pho and added bean sprouts, lime, and a little hoisin.
