Three Squares - WAUPACA

I go here often because it is a wonderful place to sit with friends and have good conversation and great food

Such a cheerful atmosphere, we go so often, we know the waitress's by name. The food is great. If you are on a budget, they will even let you split some items.

I go to this place alot. My girlfriend is friends with the owner jim. The menu is fairly diverse. Enough so that its as pleasant for the critic as much as it is the buffet runner. The daytime staff is awesome however I advise against the late night meal here. The night staff seem more concerned with socializing than actually doing their job. I made the mistake of going there at 3am after work. It took 11min to get a menu and when I finally got a menu I wasn't even asked what I wanted to drink. It took another 15 or more minutes to have my waitress return to take my order. After taking my order she still didn't ask what I wanted to drink. As she walked away I told her I would also like a water. My food took nearly a half hour to hit my table. Mind you my order was a rueben and fries. I had finished my water by the time my food was done and sat it at the end of my table. The waitress placed the food beside my empty water glass at the end of my table and walked away. I called her back over and asked for more water. She huffed grab the cup and filled it from the tap by the register not even from the fountain machine. My cup came back with warm water and absolutely no ice. They lost my patronage at night for things like this but it was never that bad at night a year ago when I stopped going after poor service. Needless to say no tip was given and I will only eat there during the day from mow on.
