Leno's Sandwich Shop - Waukegan

I grew up eating Leno's sandwich shop and over the weekend I took my daughters and grandchildren to finally eat at one of my favorite places to grow up. Needless to say, my family was very impressed and I made a happy dance after my first bite my turkey and cheese tasted all the way with their special sauce and spicy giardinieraq, as it did 30 years ago. It was so good that we were back before we met the highway to buy another Hoagie BUSSSIN

This long-standing Waukegan Favorite serves some of the best subs in the Chicago area. Always clean with ultra-friendly service, I take a Leno's Sub over any popular franchise under every day of the week. Although best known as Carry-out, this family-run cozy little venue has some tables seating and outdoor seating and makes it an even more pleasant experience in the warmer months. Always tried my best to support local businesses and Leno's has long been one of them. If you love Subs, that's the place to be, people! Keep the great work that make these tasty sub-parts and I wish for continued prosperity and success for the owner(s).

When I was in the small child in the early 80s, my sister and I were there in the daily lol, we would cut the little walk between the Grand-News stand, and I think it was a dentist's office or something iat the time. we live right behind Leno's, visited Waukegan in 2017 still taste the same and smell if you just look different on foot, I miss you Leno's! Not another place like you here in AZ:.

I have to really give props to this sandwich shop. It checks off all of the right boxes to truly name this a place 'a gem hidden in the haystack '. Delicious subs with some decent variety. Very friendly service. Highly recommend to make this place your next lunch meal.

This restaurant's sammiches are the bomb! Plenty of choices of sandwiches and drinks! Tiny place and gets busy real fast! The Texas Roast Beef I got was massive and ate it for lunch and dinner. Love the sweet and tangy banana peppers and the sauce on the side so the sandwich wont get soggy. The meat was very tasty and very generous. Staffs were very friendly and service was fairly fast.
