My husband and I ordered the Mariscada, and we were pleasantly surprised to have leftovers because the portion was generous. The broth was incredibly flavorful. The only downside was the loud music; it was a Sunday at 11 a.m., and the volume was quite high. Other than that, I highly recommend this restaurant! View all feedback.
What Alyssa M doesn't like about Las Islitas:
Over priced and terrible food was disgusting, I wouldn't have even fed it to my dog, should of paid me to eat there food instead of me having to pay to eat it. I think I'd rather play in traffic instead of eating that ****, I don't even think small children from Africa would want that junk. View all feedback.
I dined at this restaurant a few weekends ago and had a few concerns. First, the music was quite loud, or perhaps I'm just sensitive to noise. Next, it took a while for the staff to notice us and bring the menus, and then there was another long wait to take our order. I ordered the caldo de camarón, but I was disappointed; it had no vegetables, just a few shrimp, and it was overly salty. My friend ordered the ceviche de pescado, and she found it to be too salty as well. I would recommend La Fogata on Union Street in Watsonville instead; it's a quieter place with excellent food and service!
It was the only thing open late on a Saturday. It was not properly prepared nor was it any good. Beans and rice were very cold and so were the tortillas. The service wasn't bad and the fact that they had karaoke and dj was super exciting. If you don't order food and just there for drinks and entertainment then this is the place to go. Eat before coming. Note: Security at the door.

The food is delicious, and the salsa is among the best I've ever tasted. The service is decent, but the music can be excessively loud at times, making it difficult to enjoy the company of others. I understand that they have live music on weekends, but it's just as loud in the afternoons. Also, they never answer the phone.
I placed an order over the phone and this is what I came home to... Purchased two orders of Tacos Gobernador and 12 empanadas de camarón con queso. Do not recommend this place.
