The Cinnamon Cache in Carcross, Yukon, is a small spot known for its signature cinnamon buns. However, reviews on their food are mixed, with some finding the vegetable soup and coffee to be subpar. Despite this, the baked goods get high marks, especially the cinnamon buns. Visitors praise the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere, making it a worth stop for those passing through the Yukon Territory. While opinions on the food prices differ, many appreciate the convenience and homemade taste of the soups. Overall, it seems the Cinnamon Cache is a hit for its baked goods but misses the mark on some of its other menu offerings.

Was Humberto Prosacco at The Cinnamon Cache a mag?
This is a lovely little spot to check out with a fantastic bakery. The coffee is wonderful and the staff is friendly. There are interesting knick-knacks hanging on the walls and throughout the restaurant. View all feedback.

What Dock O'Hara dislikes about The Cinnamon Cache:
We stopped at this place on our driving tour of the Yukon Territory. They have the biggest cinnamon buns I've ever seen, but they were very dry. Great coffee and clean restrooms! View all feedback.

We recently visited the Cinnamon Cache for a quick bite after traveling from Skagway to Emerald Lake. It was recommended by the Tourist office in Carcross. It sign says the "best buns in the Yukon". Very simple small spot. The two of us ordered a bowl of vegetable soup each. We assumed it would be homemade as the place had that kind of feel. We were served boiled water with veggies in it. Campbell's vegetable soup was a gourmet treat compared with this. Absolutely awful. I also ordered a cup of coffee that was the worst I've ever tasted. Had 2 sips and gave up. For this meal (2 soups and a coffee) we were charged $20. I wouldn't have minded the price if the soup was truly homemade, but this stuff was appalling. Don't eat here, try the place that all the tour buses go to that's down the road. It couldn't be any worse!!!

The service at this restaurant is friendly and wonderful. I have to admit, while we were there, some visitors from the USA were surprised by the dryness of the rolls, but they are authentic cinnamon buns made of bread, not filled with syrup and covered in a thick layer of icing. I would have definitely ordered some if I could! These buns were exactly what you would expect: a golden brown sugar bottom, a perfect cinnamon, season, and walnut filling, and a delicious layer of icing and walnuts on top. For those who don't enjoy the bread part as much, they could always add butter and jam for an extra sugary kick with each bite. Everyone has their own preferences and just because the rolls weren't overflowing with sugar doesn't mean they were bad. The soup was also very tasty and had a homemade feel to it. I wish I had taken photos to capture the moment. Some people may complain about the prices, but I am more than happy to pay a little extra for the convenience of not having to pack a lunch when visiting this relatively remote cafe in the middle of nowhere. I have been a patron of this cafe for many years, having lived nearby from 1994-1997 and 2003-2008, and have continued to visit many times since.

During our trip through the Yukon territory, we visited this restaurant. They offer cinnamon rolls that are incredibly large, although they were quite dry. The coffee was excellent and the bathrooms were clean.
