The village is quaint with a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant matches this ambiance perfectly - it's beautiful. Despite being quite busy, the service was decent. For appetizers, we tried a dish featuring local meat, which was delicious. The menu offered an excellent selection, including a tasty pigeon dish. The wine selection was good as well. Overall, we were very pleased with our dining experience and found it to be well worth it.

The village is very kind with a quiet busy restaurant, is beautiful, in the same atmosphere, given the pressure occupation at the aperitif, we asked for a plate of weed. The menu was excellent as a delicious pigeon. Good wine, we were very happy to celebrate. A cure more than worth it.

A high-flyer! with very kind and smooth service in a very nice vestment!

If all the reviews from before May 2025 were removed it would reflect the excellence of this place (4.9) under the new management. Superb cooking and keen service. Still finding its voice with decor dim those lights over the servery! but the beer list is gradually reflecting more diversity of styles and it is good to see this legendary place back on track.

We visited a very charming restaurant in the small village of Watou. The interior was beautifully decorated with a native touch and we were warmly greeted by the staff. The kitchen had a lovely view and there were pictures of famous guests on the walls. We started with the Thormelhof cuvèe and opted for the fishbow menu, which included beer paired with each dish. The food was flavorful, delicate, and well-balanced. Our group of four women particularly enjoyed the hood served with the mackerel and the kriek with the dessert, although tastes may vary. Overall, we had an excellent lunch experience at this restaurant.
