One of the nicer steak places in the Watkinsville Athens area. It's not a high-end place like Ruth Chris or Morton's, for the area it's good. It has a casual feel, but not to the level of peanut shells on the floor! They have several good cuts of steak.I had a salad with sirloin on it and it was delicious. Very fresh and the steak was well seasoned and tender. They don't have aswide a selection as I expected on the steak side, but, everything we have tried is pretty good. One notable side dish was thehoney fried brussel sprouts. They were delicious. Unique taste, but flavorful combination of sweet, salty and brussely!!! Theyhave an excellent beer and wine selection as well! The bar area is comfortable and friendly. I've been here a couple of timesand every time, strike up an interesting conversation with someone. The restaurant seating is mostly tables. I didn't see anybooths. They have an upstairs area and a private dining area upstairs that could be used for an event. Parking could be alittle dicey on a busy night. But tonight, Saturday night in the summer at 7:00 p.m. I found a spot right away. There's parkingboth in front and in back of the restaurant. This is a good place to come for a date night. I see some families with olderkids. But I wouldn't bring your munchkins here. It's a little loud. But plenty of opportunity for conversation. Good food, good atmosphere, friendly service!
We stopped in for a quick lunch and we were not disappointed, per usual. Everyone was super friendly and working really hard, the food came promptly, and the bloody mary was surprisingly fantastic; like I have actually had bloody mary's from a lot ofplaces and this one top tier!
Always excellent food, and now they've got me hooked on their drinks they are deadly delicious! I highly recommend they're green goddess, but I also hear Garden of Eden is fabulous as well. We'll try that next! My husband always gets the meatloafspecial, I got the fish of the day this last time! Staff is very friendly, and the bathrooms are clean. Good Ambience, and Iwasn't cold, even wearing a dress! Can't wait to go back!
Service was great but the food was bland. I ordered the ribeye cooked medium rare and there was just no flavor. It was very tender but I had to add salt and pepper at the table just to get some flavor and the grilled asparagus tasted like propane. Theatmosphere was nice other than the A/C vent in the ceiling leaking on us but with how much it cost the quality is just not there
