I really enjoyed the BBQ; it was quite good. However, my food was served at room temperature, which isn't really to my liking. If it had been hot, it would have been perfect. The service was attentive, and our food was served within five minutes after we found a table ourselves. The atmosphere is very casual, reflecting a laid-back BBQ vibe. No resos accepted. We arrived 6 pm on Aug 11, 2022 and were told a 30 min wait. Within a minute, seats opened up at the bar which is where we wanted to sit anyways. We were able to talk to the friendly bartenders and have a great view of the street. Margaritas and gin and tonics. We had the pulled pork and brisket plates with various sides. All yummy and well done. Super fun venue for good BBQ and drinks View all feedback.

We ordered the smoked blackened nachos and the brisket with green beans and mac and cheese. The variety of BBQ sauces were delicious. The only downside was that our table was swarming with bugs—there were flies and gnats constantly buzzing around us, which was quite bothersome. I would recommend the food, but maybe consider getting it to go instead.
I ended up ordering the half rack of ribs with a quarter chicken and a side of pig wings, but unfortunately, they had just run out. Instead, I opted for a side of chicken wings. We wanted something spicy, and the waiter recommended the bourbon hot sauce, which was delicious. Although I'm not usually a fan of chicken, the wings were decent. However, the true star of the meal for me was the half rack of ribs! The meat just melted off the bone, and the flavors were incredible! We also ordered the jalapeño pepperdew mac and cheese along with a corn bean salad as sides. Each order came with cornbread, making for a fantastic meal overall! The table featured squeeze bottles filled with various sauces to try, and my favorite was the original hot sauce, which really added flavor to the chicken! Our dog was pampered too, receiving a lovely bowl of ice water and a special treat. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
Stopped on a Monday evening, pretty busy but 4 of us seated in about 10 minutes. It is an open air place, at because it was very hot, missed air conditioning. Had the ribs, pork blt and the brisket, which was particularly good. The loaded tater tots very good, as were the onion rings, red skinned potato salad and the collard greens. Good beer selection
You wrote a review for Nickel's Pit BBQ Corning A moment ago 5.0 star rating8/19/2022 I've been here 3 times now, this last time I brought the whole family and everyone loved everything, this place is a crowd pleaser. First off they are usually busy and do not take reservations, but trust me it's worth the wait. They have an extensive beer list and also have a full bar. We got the fried pickles and pig wings with the dry rub sauce. The first 2 times we came they were outta pig wings, so I was so happy to finally try them because they were so fricken good! Get there early because they sell out fast. My partner got the Brisket combo, someone got the pulled pork sandwich and I had the pulled pork salad, and everyone went home full and happy.
