Contribute FeedbackWhile the food was delicious, the service was lacking, with significant delays and mistakes in orders. Despite the pleasant atmosphere and good food quality, the overall experience was marred by subpar service. On the other hand, another reviewer had an entirely different experience, praising the warm and attentive service, excellent food, and enjoyable dining experience. Despite some minor issues, they felt like they were on vacation and are eager to return in the future. Ultimately, the restaurant seems to have mixed reviews, with some patrons enjoying a wonderful experience while others were disappointed by the service quality.
Food was good, service dire. mins to get served Charcuterie for ordered, only one came and we shared. Then much later the second charcuterie arrived which we rejected. Bretton soup was fabulous, the duck a bit overcooked. Ordered Montbaziac desert wine with the Creme Brûlée and got a glass of brandy! Far too few staff for the number of tables Not that full even on a Saturday, so not obvious why the service was so bad Food good so try another night
Cotes are what you expect them to be, ok! The Watford restaurant is a good place, service was very good but the food average. I will still go back though!
Lovely to be back at this family favourite for another family celebration. As usual, the food and service did not disappoint. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented and we had a lovely evening overall.
The lady at the door waved in the general direction of some seating and then rudely told us that we only had a limited period to eat because we had apparently sat at the wrong table. She then went to have her breakfast at another table with the other staff while we waited ages to be served. We asked for well done scrambled eggs and were served almost raw egg lumpy soup. All round unpleasant and would never go back.
