The Winchester - Waterville

For Valentine's Day. They were out of the main rib at 8:00, so I ordered a ribeye, man had New York Strip, my daughter had 8 ounces of Sirloin. They were so over crusts with spices that it was impossible. The meat was of good quality and perfectly cooked medium rare, so not sure why it was so coated whatever the season was. I don't want to reject my Valentine's dinner, but that's the truth. The server did not ask how our meals were (or I would have mentioned that our food was overseasoned), but good with beverage refills. I washed the steak in the **** and heated it the next day in the microwave and it was delicious. My daughter ordered lava cake and basically got a frozen chocolate hockey puck on a plate that they did right when we got to the bar and pointed out. We would have let our server know, but she really didn't check us out after she dropped him in front of her and stood back at her checkout. We spent more than $150 on our dinner and it was usually not possible. Historically, we had great experiences at The Winchester (that's why 4 stars), so I assume that this was a busy night with a limited menu. We will return because the main rib is usually phenomenal. I also regret the complaints. I am almost positive, our next visit will be 5 stars and I will edit my review at this time. The manager sent me a Facebook message annoyed about my rating, so I edited this to add more details.

The best pizza everywhere! If you like spicy dishes, ask for their homemade spicy pepper to add to your pizza! A little goes a long way and it is phenomenal! I will definitely be regular here?

Every single time I am at The Winchester I have nothing but the best experience. Their food is the best along with their service. They really have a wonderful atmosphere and their food is great. Will keep returning!!!!!!!!
