Was Jenna D at Erica's a mag?

We make it a point to come to Erica's once or twice a month their brunch is amazing! Especially the Irish Benedict! Every time I try something new here I'm never disappointed. And the staff is always friendly. 10 out of 10 and all the gold stars. View all feedback.

What Christine Bayer dislikes about Erica's:

Was a perfectly fine breakfast, but I was definitely expecting a bit more? Pros: Very friendly staff, corned beef hash and French fries are pretty good. Cons: Undercooked homefries (zero crisp), medium burger cooked well with zero LTO (included), **** Mary was mostly tomato juice. This place has a nice vibe and a lot of potential, but we didn't think it was much better than any other roadside diner for the cost. Serv... View all feedback.

This place hits all the marks of a great eatery. The food was grand, the service was professional, and the atmosphere was full of fun things. If you find yourself in the area, definitely stop in for a bite.

I 've wanted to try Erica 's for quite a while and finally had an opportunity to go for breakfast. I 'm sad to say I was quite disappointed. The main dish, Irish Eggs Benedict was overall mediocre. The eggs were almost poached hard and there was very little hollandaise sauce, and since there was almost no runny yoke, it would 've helped balance the savoriness of the corned beef hash, which itself was alright for the most part. My waitress asked when I ordered if I wanted home fries, and I figured I 'd give them a try since it was my first time there, even at the extra expense (which are usually included most places). Sadly, this was the wrong decision, as the home fries came cold, with some quite rubbery, some still crunchy and not cooked through, and when the waitress came to ask how my food was, I informed her how awful the home fries were. Her response was, and I quote, Yeah, they 're not very good. If you ask next time, they can deepfry them instead. But, would you like some ketchup for them to see if that helps? I was kind of shocked that she just outright said they weren 't good after asking if I wanted to order any, at the extra expense, and then offered ketchup to try to make their awfulness somehow less noticeable... So, I accepted her offer for some reason, though I really didn 't want to try any more of them since they were so unappetizing, and she retrieved a bottle of ketchup, walked towards me, dropped it on the floor in front of me, picked it up and handed it to me... I set it on the table and went back to my eggs benedict. Just a few minutes after this interaction I finished my coffee and waited for my waitress to come around so I could ask for a refill, but for the next 15 minutes I didn 't see her anywhere, and finally gave up and just finished the rest of my meal, sans home fries. The next time I saw her, she walked over and have me my bill, and still hadn 't asked if I wanted more coffee, and retrieved my full plate of home fries, which I paid for, since they were still on my bill and I had to run for an appointment, so I didn 't feel like asking for them to be taken off the bill and have her gone for another 15 minutes, or drop anything else on the floor to hand me. I almost feel like I 'm being overly harsh, but I was genuinely shocked by how horrible the service was, and the general customer service itself, asking if I wanted something my server thought wasn 't good, and then after not even eating it due to it living up to expectations, not being offered a refund on it. This feels odd to say at this point, but I am so easy going and positive that it takes a whole heap of what the heck to get me to write a negative review. It just all piled up to a really distasteful experience, and I was quite disappointed.

Eggs were perfectly cooked. I had a basic breakfast and felt the home fries lacked flavor. I think a benedict would've been a better choice.

Food and waitstaff was excellent. It was a little chilly. It was pricey for breakfast but good quality, homemade bread.

The food was decent, but the cinnamon-stuffed croissant contained inedible chunks of cinnamon sticks that made it feel like I was chewing on twigs. I would suggest using ground cinnamon instead. Additionally, the service was disappointing. Our waitress appeared annoyed by our questions and requests. We also never received a high chair for our one-year-old, and our order was served incomplete. Toward the end of our meal, I had to track down the waitress to ask for the missing items. Overall, for a breakfast experience, I would rate the food a 3, the service a 1, and the atmosphere a 3, with an average price per person of $20–30.

As we waited for our food, I couldn't help but observe the waitresses: many had their hair down and it hung freely in their faces and over their shoulders as they served customers. One waitress caught my eye—she had a long ponytail and striking false eyelashes. I was quite taken aback when I saw her grab a glass with her bare hands to prepare a peach Bellini, then toss a cherry into it, also with her bare hands. I had to compose myself to write this review, as I was in disbelief at what I was witnessing. Our food arrived promptly, but my waffle was raw in the middle and a soggy mess, topped with frozen strawberries that appeared to have been opened days ago. I literally inspected it with my fork, concerned about stray hairs. When I ordered the waffle, the waitress asked if I'd like syrup, to which I replied yes. However, she brought a small mason jar with only an inch of syrup inside. Given how disappointing the waffle was, I didn't even bother to use it. When the bill arrived, I was surprised to see that the waffle, advertised for $6.95, came with an additional $1.99 charge for the syrup and another $1.99 for the strawberries. I refrained from saying anything, as I was stunned by the sticky tables and the questionable hygiene of the staff serving our food. As we settled our $31 bill, an elderly couple entered and took a seat. Miss Big Eyelashes approached them and introduced herself as their waitress. The elderly patron immediately expressed that he wanted another server, stating that she had given them poor service during their last visit. My husband and I exchanged disbelieving glances as we left, feeling shocked that we had just spent $31 on such a disappointing brunch. As locals who enjoy supporting small businesses, I regret to say we will never return to Erica's. Someone really ought to notify the health department.

Absolutely outstanding food and service! The veggie omelet was the best I've ever tasted, the home fries were perfect, and the freshly baked bread toasted to perfection was the icing on the cake. My husband really enjoyed the pot pie as well. This is a must-visit spot!

We were in search of a fantastic breakfast place, and it seemed like everything nearby required a drive. As we headed there, I thought to myself, ‘I hope these Yelp reviews are accurate!’ Fortunately, they were. I loved the food! The biscuits and gravy were exceptional—possibly the best I’ve ever had! My crepes with raspberries were also delicious. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and we ordered quite a bit! Oh, and the breakfast cocktails were a nice touch too! Check out my pictures! I’ve read some negative reviews that made me laugh, as they claimed the portion sizes were small. That couldn’t be further from the truth—great portion sizes all around!

So, I don?t really want to write this review but I?ll share a short thing about my experience there. So the GF and I drove up from NJ and we got into the area around noon. So we looked for a place to eat and Erica?s sounded great. We parked, got into theplace, ordered some coffees and that was all fine. Time began to pass and looking around I noticed many of the folks in theplace didn?t have food. A lot of awkward, wandering, hungry eyes. It was still relatively early, figured they were just gettingwarmed up, fine. A half hour passes and still nothing, people are just starting to get their food. People that had been therebefore us. The waitress, who was perfectly nice, assured us our food will be coming soon probably noticing us becomingparticularly unsettled. Another 20 minutes go by and no food. The waitress apologizes in the kitchen again. Turns out the folksin the kitchen lost our ticket, and seemingly did not care that they had. At that point we got up and walked out, full apologiesfrom the very nice waitress (not faulting her at all, she did what she could. Seemed like the guy running the kitchen wascompletely apathetic. Can?t say I?ll be going back for a round two. Hopefully this isn?t what normally goes on there but Ifigured this was worth telling.

Chicken and waffles. Usually I love Erica's breakfasts, but chicken and waffles not so much. Waffles were heavy and tough and chicken was cooked well but NO seasoning. Think I'll still to other breakfast items.

Cute spot with a great breakfast. I had a bloody mary and greek omelet, my friend had the cornbeef hash eggs benedict. Everything was tasty, quick and delivered with a smile.
