Lovely little place in Watertown. They'll cook your food how you'd like. Because they're extremely short staffed you need to make sure to ask for water or more drinks. But, the two servers who rotate in the mornings are sweet and makeup for the lack of staff, they do the best they can. Chicken Fried Steak is good. Farmhand Burger great, Hot Coco yum. Those are really good. View all feedback.
What Jeremy Schultz doesn't like about The Scrambled Yolk:
Terrible service, bland and cold food and very untrained staff. No need to go back. Bring back Perkins!!! Appreciate the response back but still no reason to not train all your staff on how to operate a cash register or how to properly take an order of include seasoning in your foods. View all feedback.
Great service! The restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch, but the food is quite good. If you're looking for a breakfast spot, it's definitely worth a visit!
However, there was an issue with ants. When we received our food, we went to grab some jams for our toast, only to find one of the jars was infested with ants as we peeled back the paper covering. We also noticed more ants on the table. When we reported this to our server, her response was, "I don’t know what I can do about it. I can tell you to take everything off all the tables, wash it thoroughly, and wipe down all the booths."
This is a decent spot for breakfast, and the food tastes good. However, the hash browns were dry and overcooked. The staff are friendly, but the service is quite slow, which occasionally made us feel overlooked or forgotten.
I visited this restaurant twice, and both experiences were disappointing. I really tried to give it a chance, but I’ve decided not to return.
This restaurant isn't ideal for larger groups. The service tends to be quite slow. During my most recent visit, half of my breakfast arrived cold.
