we ordered two of their huge pizza for a church event and the food was excellent. I was most impressed by their delivery time. we requested a delivery by the afternoon and the driver showed himself four minutes early. perfect timing! we've eaten a few times here and don't complain. they probably don't deserve a Michelin star, but not a bad place to eat. What User doesn't like about Papa Tino's:
Pizza was great the chicken fingers..or whatever the burnt brick is (no chicken inside) was the worst thing I've ever bought and I even tipped but someone put that in a box and sent it home with me anyways... unfortunately this ruined the 1st ordering experience with this place and I likely won't order anything again because anyone who saw that chicken finger and sold it anyways God only knows what else they would tr... 2 more pizzerias tried, but both were closed. good food. huge pizza. reasonable price
I always order the honey-hot wings and fries. In my opinion, they are the best wings in the city. The hot honey sauce is absolutely delicious on the fries.
I am only giving this restaurant a lower rating because, based on some reviews, we were hoping for thin sliced New York style pizza. As a Bronx native, I read a review from another Bronx resident who said this was the closest thing to Bronx Pizza. However, I did not agree with that assessment. I did enjoy the flavor of their Italian sausage sandwich, although my husband was expecting sauce on it. The breaded mushrooms and jalapeño poppers were also tasty. If you don't mind a thicker dough or prefer a doughier pizza, then this is the place for you. Overall, the food was delicious.
Our meal was for takeout and was priced between $20-30 per person for dinner. The food was rated a 3, service a 4, and atmosphere a 3. I would recommend trying their cheese pizza.
I recently ordered dinner delivery from this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The price per person ranged from $30 to $50, but it was well worth it for the quality of food and service received. I give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5-star rating. I highly recommend trying the Cheese Pizza and Meat Lover Pizza, as they were both delicious.
