What Timothy Akalu doesn't like about Star Wok:
We ordered last night. I had the regular spring rolls and my partner had the spring rolls with chicken in it. He was up sick all night sick and I was not. His symptoms were bad pains in stomach, vomiting and diarrhea all night long and into this morning. Please throw those away, your chicken has gone bad. View all feedback.
Awful experience! I wish I could rate this place with zero stars. Don't waste your money here. My partner got food poisoning from the chicken, and we even discovered an animal bone in our pad Thai.
Delicious food at a great price! The portion sizes are generous. If you're very hungry and looking for an inexpensive meal, this is the ideal place to go.
The takeout packaging and presentation of the food exhibit a remarkable level of attention to detail. The service is quick, the meals are prepared promptly, and the prices are reasonable with abundant portion sizes. I tried the lemon chicken combo platter and was thoroughly impressed with both the flavor and the neat packaging. The lemon chicken was juicy, with a perfectly crispy coating, and it was even beautifully sliced! This is a fantastic spot for takeout!
My friend and I ordered takeout from this restaurant, expecting some comforting Chinese food. Unfortunately, everything we tasted was extremely bland. My shrimp egg noodles were so poorly seasoned that they merely tasted salted, which forced me to add some real spices to make them palatable. The sweet and sour breaded chicken was also disappointing; my friend ended up spitting it out after biting into something unappetizing. I wouldn't recommend spending your money here.
I ordered the lunch special of chicken lo mein, and I must say, they really filled the container! It’s an understatement to say it was packed—when I opened it, the food was nearly an inch high, molded to the shape of the lid and overflowing the bottom of the box. I was pleasantly surprised to find small pieces of chicken mixed in with the rice. In contrast, the lo mein featured much larger chunks of chicken coated in a delicious sauce. Everything was bursting with flavor! While the chicken in the rice could use a bit more seasoning, it pairs nicely with the rice for a satisfying bite. There's definitely enough food for one person, and I’m sure I’ll have leftovers for lunch the next day—maybe even for dinner too!
