Description

Morty's is a legendary spot for wings, with Monday and Thursday specials that are a hit. The atmosphere, though cozy, could use some updating, but the friendly staff make the experience worthwhile. While not all reviews are glowing, the variety of flavors and generous portions keep customers coming back for more. The traditional wings are a fan favorite, while the Cajun and loaded fries are also big hits. Morty's offers a solid sports bar experience with great food and service, making it a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. Wing lovers won't be disappointed at this long-standing establishment.

Food is great! Service is ok. Only thing is the tables are extremely close together. Doesn't empress me to have a servers butt in my face when I'm eating

I went to the University of Waterloo and went to Morty's for wings more often than I probably should have. After graduating, I moved away. I came back recently to see if it was just nostalgia, but the wings have held up over their time (much like their crunchiness against the sauce). The wings have always been large and luckily they've stayed that way. You can get them breaded or unbreaded, and they have a good variety of flavours. The medium wings aren't overpowering and the sriracha BBQ sauce was very tasty. While the wings are a bit pricy on non-wing special nights, I've always appreciated the fact that they list prices by the wing count rather than by the pound. I can count wings, but I couldn't begin to guess how many wings are in a pound if I'm not a regular visitor.

Never had such a bland, boring and uninspired meal . Went for dinner and was hoping to have wings which were recommended by a friend but at $2 a piece I thought they were ridiculously over priced, also were afraid that for than king of price would get those giant wings which are never as tasty as the regular ones. All in all I could have made myself the same sandwich at home and skipped the trouble and expense. Quite disappointed .

During our visit to this restaurant, we stopped in for a few drinks before looking for a place to have dinner. We only tried the drinks and did not have any particular preference for returning for a meal. The staff repeatedly asked us to place a food order, but we had already eaten earlier. It appeared to be a popular spot for locals who frequented the place regularly, as they seemed to know the waitstaff personally. Our table was a bit sticky, but it was wiped down. However, it seemed to have some leftover food residue on it as well.

The atmosphere is blah. not vegetarian friendly. service was great! tables were all sticky and rough. eating was much too expensive. standard domestic beer. nothing nice.
