This is a great place to go with friends or other groups. There is food and drink, but you don't have to buy them. You do pay a cover, but you can play any games for as long as you want. Lots of game selection. View all feedback.
What Tiana Bentley Dittmar dislikes about Crossroads Board Game Cafe:
I personally found this place pretty underwhelming. There are very limited selections available for drinks and the ones we were interested in, they didn’t even have. They made a good grilled cheese, though.Their tables have buzzers to tell the staff you need something, which is great in concept, but then our server seemed incredibly irritated when we called her over. I found the staff to be pretty condescending, whic... View all feedback.

Awesome place to go with friends. Lots of games for all tastes. Milkshakes and sandwiches are delicious. Great customer service.
Great spot to hangout near the university. For $7 per person you can sit and play any of their large selection of games for as long as you want. They have all different types of boardgames, for small to large groups. There's also food and drinks. We got the grilled cheese potato salad and it was very good.
I wish I could remember his name, but the guy working tonight made our first experience awesome very welcoming, knowledgable, just a fantastic host all around. The staff in general were amazing. Great atmosphere tons of games to choose from. We had a lot of fun. Also they make a solid London Fog.We will be back.
Loved this place. Visited the place today with freinds and played monopoly for 3 hours. Had a latte and some snacks that tasted really good and priced decently. Would definitely return, especially to play the computer/console games.
Pretty good atmosphere.Wide selection of gamesGood sandwiches.Great for groups.Would love to hang out here to be honest

My favourite board game Cafe in Waterloo! Super affordable and they have a large game selection! _The Manger is amazing and often walks around giving away
AMAZING! I wish I had discovered this place earlier, it's my last term at Waterloo and I'm sad I won't be able to enjoy Crossroads after I graduate.
A friend and I came here on a Wed night earlier this week and were immediately impressed by how cozy, modern, and spacious this place was! It actually looks

For our daughter's birthday, she elected to go to Board Game Cafe. We had never heard of this place but thought we would give it a try for her sake. In hindsight we are very glad we did, as it was a time for the entire family (6 of us) to sit down and socialize, which at our age, does not happen as readily as it used to.Board Game Cafe is a cute nook that allows for you to go in, sit down, choose board games to play and have a snack or drink. It is licensed or you can enjoy anything from a bubble tea to a hot chocolate or coffee. You hit the button on your table and your server responds to serve your interest(s).We had garlic bread with cheese and a plate of nachos for an appetizer and wraps or sandwiches for dinner. The only thing to note is that is clearly a snacking place, if you are not a fan of sandwiches or wraps. I think they could change their menu a bit by adding hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries and/or pizza and they would attact a whole new crowd. We were quite surprised with how busy it was but have to admit it was a neat experience that we enjoyed very much. You will pay $5 per person to sit at the table and play games. I think that's fair - while people eat, they are apt to drop food on game pieces or the board so we certainly didn't mind. Beer is $5 each, even though the menu says $4.75 so that's one other thing to note. A hot chocolate is also $5, as is a bubble tea or coffee.

Went there with my girlfriend in early December. We had a nice evening playing the boardgame Settlers of Catan. There is a massive amount of games there and the bartender/owner was very friendly and helpful.

This is my absolute favorite spot! They have a massive selection of board games. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about most of the games. They are always willing to offer assistance and suggestions and are easy to approach. The drinks are great too. One time they even gave us a free bowl of crisps!
The service was great, the restaurant felt very clean and adhered to Covid safety protocols. The food was reasonably priced, which is likely because you are also paying to play games. We tried the waffle and it was delicious. The game selection was decent, not outstanding, but enough to try a variety and have a good time. We will definitely return!
