Our table had 2 persons who have gluten free and dairy free needs. We were really happy with the gluten-free and plant menu. The food was fresh and tasty and seasoned just right. Service was attentive. View all feedback.
What Nicola Manautines doesn't like about Beertown Public House:
The food and drinks are great, the location is perfect. However, the team made it quite difficult for me to book a table of 15 at 3 pm. I had to call, also email, and then wait another day for someone to confirm. Once we arrived and starting eating, a staff member came over to us and said we needed to leave by 5 as they had another table coming. Few things, first it was a large group, we arrived at 3. I loved it! a little crowded amd reaaaally loud, but we have a table at the bar on the terrace. beautiful summer breeze and great out view of an uptown plaza concert. loved the beer menu, generous nacho plate and large coffee to finish my day. in any case again great venue, great service, great location.
My experience was a good one, I came early to wait for my friends, right away the waitress asked me if I wanted a drink, I said I'm going to wait until my friends come, but I'm going to take a glass of water. second later, I had my water...after that they had made a change to another waitress to serve our table. the waitress was friendly, but didn't look like she was enjoying the job, forget and slowly dings that we asked.. 15 minutes are not going by yet. the only thing that confused me was that my friend asked for ketchup. I would have thought a bottle would have been taken out instead of getting a teespoon size in the worth of ketchup / kanu / even the hot sauce. small part. Apart from the few little things, the visit was good.
My friend group regularly chooses this location for our outings and usually leave feeling impressed with the food and service. We chose the dinner hour to actually eat and drink (which we usually do) and celebrate 2 birthdays. It was impossible for us to order food this time. They were kind enough to relocate us after we were unhappy with the cramped location at the front entrance which was an awkward rectangle and round table placed together. I thought that they would put 3 small square tables together for us to accomodate 8 adults with paddles and apps/entrees, but they only put 2 tables together and it was the same size as the first option, but in a better (low traffic) location and not 2 different table shapes. I understand that it was busy with homecoming and lumen, but there was an empty table against the wall the entire time that we were there that they could've used for us. I also understand from a business perspective that utilizing a third table would hinder revenue when small party of 2 could've been seated there instead. But it was empty the ENTIRE time. So instead of everyone grabbing food a couple of us hungry ones ordered 2 apps as we chose to have a drink and then go to a different spot for food. So basically, revenue was lost there because we all would've ordered entrees, apps and more drinks. To top it off though, because I made the reservation the owner came over and passive aggressively guilted me for someone in our party making an honest review online. I wish I had taken pictures of how full our table was with what little we ordered, but I didn't deem it necessary as I was not going to leave a review until I was approached by the owner and now OpenTable asking for one. Anyways, I believe money was wasted on their recent renovation. They could've done a better job at accommodating larger groups. Which they often get, as we were shafted for a larger party of 20. Hopefully their experience was better than ours.

Once we arrived and starting eating, a staff member came over to us and said we needed to leave by 5 as they had another table coming. Few things, first it was a large group, we arrived at 3. Second, the restaurant was empty with lots of room elsewhere. They asked twice in the middle of our appetizers, it was very unprofessional. Nobody ever mentioned a 2 hour deadline....or we would have booked elsewhere for our team event. Beertown, with lots of close options for team dinners, my recommendation would be to make people feel welcome, not like you are doing them a favour.
Food was awesome! Service was a little slow. Would totally come back :
