Was Lionel Muller at Waterloo Cafe a mag?
After walking around the place for hours, I took a break to enjoy a delicious coffee. I really enjoyed watching the hustle and bustle of people walking by in Sydney through the window. View all feedback.

What Rosetta Ondricka dislikes about Waterloo Cafe:
In order for me to leave a review on TripAdvisor about a restaurant, it must meet a certain standard. The pizza at this place is cooked to perfection, with toppings that are tender and flavorful. If you enjoy separating the pizza bread from the meat toppings, then this restaurant may be just what you're looking for. View all feedback.

Best wood-fired pizzas in SydneyI normally dine with coupons from the Entertainment Book but I don't mind paying full price for these beauties.

Is it truly Italian? Probably not. The sauce was cooked, and the cornicione had more of a thin crust Chicago style, which definitely leans toward American. But does that matter? Not at all, because it was delicious, and I couldn’t stop indulging! I think the eggplant could have used a bit more flavorful olive oil and perhaps more cooking time to soften it up. The vegetables could have been fresher, but I ordered at night, so that’s not entirely their fault. A little garlic and chili oil added at the end would have been a nice touch too. On a positive note, the acidity of the tomato sauce was quite pleasant. The pizza was well-crafted and baked wonderfully, with nice browning on both the cheese and the crust, ensuring even heat distribution and excellent time and temperature control. The quality of the pizza base alone deserves at least a 4-star rating. So, I’m giving it 5/5 in recognition of the effort and care shown by the staff and the improvements since my last visit. I still remember the very first day this place opened back in 2016, when it was located in a different pizza shop. Time truly flies. What a day it was!
