Delicious every time! I have been staying in the area short term and am so happy I found this gem! I’ve ordered takeout several times, my favorite is the pear and prosciutto grilled cheese, it’s incredible! All grilled cheeses come with a little bit of tomato bisque soup that is super yummy (and I don’t love tomatoes usually). I’ve also had the fig and honey grilled cheese and the Greek which was also amazing! The gr... View all feedback.
What Ashley R doesn't like about Friends:
I have been eating at NV for years. Usually, I love it there. However, today there were 4 employees (making food, serving food, and taking orders at the register) with their masks covering ONLY their mouths. Noses FULLY exposed. During a global pandemic, with New London and neighboring towns in the red zone for covid, this is absolutely inexcusable. I was there with my 81 year old grandmother. Disgusting. View all feedback.
Found myself with unanticipated spare time this morning, followed my GPS to this location, and was pleasantly surprised upon entering, in that the place had the classic Diner vibes, but was very spacious. With each step closer to the ordering station, I discovered something more interesting on the menu. The place is apparently known for their crepes, but I settled for a breakfast burrito. it was heartwarming to witness lead staff at the counter administer a dose of confidence to a crew member as she responded to an order that was being called in by handing over the phone with a casual 'I-know-you-got-this ' kind of demeanor. I had an opportunity to see the operation while my meal was being prepared. Consistently, drink orders [hot and cold] were available before customers were quite ready for them [add specialty smoothies to the list of reasons for a return trip]. Demographics this Saturday morning was a mix of highchairs, college aged crowd, as well as to go customers wearing hard hats or bright green vests. Food arrived promptly, and it was immediately obvious that I would need a to go container. The hard-to-find Orange-Cranberry Muffin that had seduced me from the glass case while I was ordering as well as 1/2 of my burrito was stashed away, but the shared Berry crepe was more than enough to fill me up, with the side of fresh fruits and lettuce on my own plate. Another nice touch was cucumber infused water provided with the meal. Staff also did well to avoid a backlog regarding the flow of customers choosing to dine in, with prompt cleaning of tables between service. I usually am of the opinion that there 's always room for improvement, but today, I witnessed all cylinders operating long enough efficiently and consistently to conclude that staff had as much fun and satisfaction making and serving the food, as my wife and I had eating and praising the food. Well done, bonus points for the prompt and professional response by the staff at the smoothie station in addressing a customer 's request regarding their iced coffee drink, an interaction I observed while approaching the counter to secure an additional to go container for the other half of my wife 's prosciutto fig sandwich. Most enjoyable introduction to this eatery, will definitely be returning to work my way through the menu.

I also love the bagel with lox and cream cheese and capers. So many great items on this menu!

What a delight...brunch was perfection! Able to sit outside and enjoy a leisure breakfast, made to order, fast and fresh. Smore creape, BLT creape, white fish platter was AMAZING. Latte, cold brew coffee, berry smoothie. Everything was wonderful. Staff was the best...service at its finest. Can’t wait to go back.
