A friend and I went here on a quiet Monday evening for food and drink. The staff were so nice, Aaron the barman and the chef Dave. The chef came out to us to tell us about the fantastic Thai red curry he had made...as a special. He was right, it was the best I ever had. My friend had a pasta dish with mushrooms and chicken which was also great. The prices were reasonable, lovely pub and I would definitely recommend.... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tavern:
I did not enjoy my visit to Turners Cross Tavern.Firstly if I had realised it was a pub setting I would not have gone.The bar was busy and noisey.The table was not wiped down.Service was slow , waitressing staff were good but unexperienced.Did their best.Will...not be returning. View all feedback.
We had an outstanding experience at The Tavern. The drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was superb. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience wonderful.
The restaurant's staff and owner were courteous and friendly.
I highly recommend this pub because it serves great beer and has a welcoming staff and owner.
One of the others in my party has already given a detailed review... I would just add don't waste your time or money !
Went here with some friends last night , we had a table booked for o clock , when we got here the table wasn’t ready and we were asked to wait by the bar and have a drink. After a while we were asked...to step away from the bar and given a small table for to sit at temporarily while waiting for our table for to be sorted. We finally got out table at , an hour and a half late . When we were seated we were then told sorry but the kitchen was closed. Unbelievable, and on top of that of out group while ordering a pint of stout saw a bar man top up a old pint of stout and give it to him , when he confronted him about this he said sorry and proceeded to fill a fresh pint while leaving the bad pint by the tap. No doubt someone else got this during the evening. I will not be back . When we spoke to the manager he tried to make the pandemic an excuse for them being busy and unable to control things, maybe they need new management and staff . Some of the behaviour I witnessed last night out me and my group right off this once nice venue, be warned
