Panera Bread - WATCHUNG
Panera Bread
Description
Bright, community-minded café known for tasty soups, salads, sandwiches and a reliably fresh bakery. Staff are friendly and efficient, with helpful kiosk and takeout options, and the roomy, inviting space suits families and fundraisers. Highlights include vegetarian choices, a standout chipotle chicken breakfast sandwich, and free nearby parking. Drawbacks: higher prices, smaller portions than before, occasional order mix-ups, inconsistent breakfast hours, and reports of kitchen hygiene concerns and a possible allergic reaction. Overall, worth visiting but exercise caution with allergies.

The food was delicious, and the service at the cash register was excellent. However, the kitchen staff was continually talking directly over the food, which raises concerns about hygiene. It definitely makes you wonder how much saliva is landing in your meal.
The food runner was excellent and took the time to explain the menu, which I appreciated since I wasn't familiar with the items. However, there was a mix-up with the BBQ chicken salad, as it initially arrived without the chicken. They did add the chicken upon my request. While I understand that mistakes can happen, this issue warranted a lower rating this time. On a positive note, the overall ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic.
Delicious food! However, during my last visit for breakfast at 10:30 am, a young staff member informed me that breakfast was no longer being served, which was a bit disappointing, so my family and I decided to leave. Overall, the food is really tasty!
Quite pricey. I used to be a big fan of the chicken salad until they reduced the portion size and added less chicken. I really enjoy their grilled chicken sandwich, especially the sauce. However, it’s not really worth the cost. Their bakery items are always fresh—I recommend the bagels and chocolate chip cookies.
I ordered the chicken and wild rice soup yesterday, 12/2/22. The soup was delicious, but around midnight when I woke up to use the bathroom, my mouth felt tingly. When I looked in the mirror, I noticed the left side of my tongue was very swollen. I panicked because I’ve never had a food allergy before. I’ve also had this soup from here before with no problems, so maybe a different spice triggered this reaction. I took Benadryl, and the swelling has reduced a bit, but it still feels like I have a lisp when I speak. I plan to take more Benadryl in a few hours. It was a really frightening experience.
