What User doesn't like about Settlers Bay Lodge:
The dining experience was excellent, the servers were fantastic, and the restaurant itself was wonderful. However, the manager, Jay, was extremely rude to our group. We wanted to combine two tables so we could sit together, but he refused. It was a Tuesday night in Alaska and the restaurant was not busy. We stopped here, just a cruise ship in whittier, tied to a motor lock, denali. they have a sandwich buffet for a few hundred people who was beautiful. simple, but beautiful. very fresh, beautifully presented and the server was very helpful. I wish we had more time to run this a bit, but unfortunately we had to come back to the motor-kuppe to continue our long journey. loved the filled bear in the lobby!
Excellent service! Our waiter was Max and we thoroughly enjoyed his sevice! Great food. Great atmosphere! We've been going to Settlers Bay Lodge since it was opened. Always been a good experience.

The food was good. Breakfast buffet large selection
Price doesn't equal the food quality. Spent about $130 and got 1 glass of water, 1 tea with no refills. $33 pepper steak was not trimmed and full of fried fat which was unpleasant to eat. Not impressed for fine dining. Only two things I enjoyed that night was the creme brulee and leaving.
