When we arrived at Meta and Rose Restaurant, they... read more My fiancé John and I traveled from Anchorage, AK to Wasilla, AK for a fun road trip the day before Labor Day. When we arrived at Meta and Rose Restaurant, they were initially closed to prepare for dinner at 4pm. We took a stroll around the clock tower mall and visited a few shops before returning. Once we were seated around 4pm, the owner of the restaurant warmly greeted us and provided a tour of the food and drink menu. My fiancé was intrigued by the owner's signature old-fashioned drink. Although we didn't have high expectations, we were pleasantly surprised by the unique experience. The presentation of the food was beautiful and each bite was exquisite. We have visited many restaurants, but Meta and Rose Restaurant is by far the fanciest and best we have ever been to. Despite our usual preference to stay close to home for dining, we will make the effort to return to Meta and Rose Restaurant. Thank you for providing us with a wonderful experience and delicious food. Meta and Rose will now be our favorite restaurant in all of Alaska.

We enjoyed being able to casually listen in on other customers' conversations and people-watch, allowing us to enjoy our meal without needing to engage in much conversation ourselves. We definitely plan on returning in the future!

They have a great menu of boozy coffees, as well as various flavors for mimosas (which also come in pitchers). Seating at ground floor and upstairs, quiet vibe, amazing brunch menu; this is the kind of place that you come to when you get a babysitter. The building only has 2 single-occupant bathrooms, which requires asking for a key from an employee. Parking: The parking lot is a little bit small for how many people potentially could be at this business, and it’s on a corner lot in a busy part of Wasilla.
