Three other cars pulled up and had the... read more I arrived at this gas station on a Friday morning at 7:40 AM, only to find a sign on the door that said "Be right back." Three other cars pulled up and had the same issue. After waiting for 15 minutes, a young girl finally came to open the door. I expressed my disbelief that they would leave the gas station unattended during peak hours, and to my shock, she told me she wouldn't serve me! Are you serious? I've heard negative things about this place before, but this was my first visit, and it quickly became clear why people have complained. Save yourself the trouble—there are other gas stations just half a mile away in either direction. Just go to those instead! I even took a picture of the sign.

While I could opt for one of the larger grocery stores, I find that the prices at Wasilla F... read more I wholeheartedly endorse shopping at local businesses in the Valley. While I could opt for one of the larger grocery stores, I find that the prices at Wasilla Foodmart are often on par or even better, which saves me the hassle and expense of driving farther. The staff is friendly, and the owner is more personable than many managers at larger chains. Although I don't do all of my grocery shopping there, I really value its convenience and the occasional great deals. Wasilla Foodmart is my preferred choice.

If you need to use the restroom, they have a clean portable toilet available out back. Nothing quite says "let's keep going" like a porta potty!

I absolutely love their cheeseburgers, and my boyfriend can't stop raving about the chicken strip basket. They only offer takeout since there’s no seating available inside. A couple of times, the fries and jalapeño poppers were cooked a bit too long, but they were still okay to eat. I wouldn’t recommend their sub sandwiches, though, as the bread is dry and they’re not the best option on the menu. I'm surprised there are no reviews for this place!
