Seveche offers a Latin culinary experience with dishes like pan roasted calamari and pan seared rock fish. Dessert options like eggless custard with coconut and pineapple are a dream. The warm Latino vibe at Mio creates a fantastic atmosphere, perfect for business lunches or happy hours. The ceviche and yucca at Mio are highly recommended, while the Puerto Rican Seafood Stew steals the show for mains. Though the service can be slow, the friendly staff and large communal tables make for an enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Mio is a hidden gem worth visiting in Washington, D.C.
I'll keep this short. I took a friend to Mio for her birthday. The food was all very good, we had: tostones (fried plantains), arepitas (cheese filled savory fried dough) with black beans and slaw, salmon, and pork tenderloin. And for dessert we had Puerto Rican coffee (delicious and guava cheesecake (also delicious The service was amazing and they were even nice enough to take a few pictures for us to commemorate the evening Definitely would recommend anyone visit Mio for a simple, elegant, and well-seasoned dining experience!
Seveche was incredible and so was the pan roasted calamari with mushrooms. The entree of pan seared rock fish was cooked well but lacked imagination, it needed something to take it to the next level. Dessert of eggless custard, coconut and pineapple was a dream delivered on all fronts ,
I am from Puerto Rico and this is an excellent version of traditional puertorrican cuisine.
