Was Scott Besemann at Aperto a mag?
Charming Italian restaurant with white tablecloths, but they didn't seem to mind that we weren't dressed up. The host was kind and attentive, while the server was capable, although we felt more like a task than valued customers. The wines were delightful, and the steak was well-seasoned, though it arrived rare instead of the medium rare I requested. They quickly corrected it, but refiring it made it a bit dry. The lo... What Carmine Bailey dislikes about Aperto:
Additionally, we were informed that they didn’t have mashed potatoes (kartoffels), yet when the table next to us received their meals—despite arriving 30 minutes after us—they had mashed potatoes. Serves the best Greek food in this area! one of my favorite places for lunch in the inner city of dc! eating wise, everything is amazing. I love her traditional feta/spinach pie, and the macaroni pie – so delicious! the lunch here today – they offered inside seats and sitting was super spaced apart. they served almost the largest part of their menu, minus salmon today, but none of the “specialities”. highly recommended!
It is difficult, not enthusiastic about the fine food served here. from the drinks, good choices, the appetizers, meeresschalopps and lamb meatballs, the entreen, the Mediterranean stream and the cacciucco (Tuscanic fischeintopf), very satisfied with the meal, presentation and choice. will be back. needs a bit of work at the timeliness, but the service was pretty good. evaluates the friendliness and respond to ask.
My friend and I had dinner here. I chose Aperto because I love Cacio Pepe and it is on their menu. The Arugula salad was very good as was the Tiramisu, the Cacio Pepe which should have been a simple butter and cheese sauce; it was in a flavorless white sauce and terrible.
The food at this restaurant is exceptional, and the service is top-notch! The atmosphere is charming as well.
